Write HTML in company, on the internet, on Sat, Aug 8, 2026. Same format as last year: two one-hour sessions, so folks across time zones can join.

  1. Oceania Time — 6-7pm AEST (Australian Eastern Standard Time)
  2. European Time — 6-7pm CET (Central European Time)

In North America? Join the second session! Equivalents:

  • 9-10am PT (Pacific Time)
  • 11am-12pm CT (Central Time)
  • 12-1pm ET (Eastern Time)

No RSVP or signup required this year. I'll post the Google Meet link right here on this page 15 mins before each session starts, so bookmark this page.

Some experience with HTML is helpful, and a place to write it. No pressure to publish what you make, but I'd love to see it! CSS is welcome too.

We'll have ten minutes for introductions, forty minutes for writing HTML, and ten minutes for discussing what we've made.

Stay muted (video welcome, not required) and use the chat to greet each other and share what you're working on.

    RSVP: HTML Day: Online (AEST)

    This will be the first time (so many firsts this month!) I’m attending HTML Day, which is in its 4th year.

    This is worldwide in-person event, where participants hand code HTML (CSS optional) websites/pages.

    I’ve written raw HTML in high school but not really since then (excluding working on Hugo templates). So I am really looking forward to doing something creative that day!

    Unfortunately, Hong Kong is not in the participating list so I’m going to be attending the remote one organized by Zachary Kai (thank you!)

    I’m working on a Hugo template lookup order before the event, so that I could create blank pages on the day without any of my existing templates and style sheets. In the meantime, I made a dedicated page: HTML Day: How to Join the Annual HTML Energy Event.
